The Amazing Raise is a 36 hour online giving campaign and this year for the very first time, UMFS was part of it all. The organization raised a little over 3,000 dollars from donors across the country. Not bad for a first time out, right?
But the most exciting and challenging part of The Amazing Raise took place before the call for donations– the annual video competition. We set our goal: we were going to nab that “Go Viral!” prize. We created a loose concept and then I storyboarded and shot, edited and uploaded the video within a week. By the end of the campaign, we had nearly 2,000 views and landed us in first place, earning us first place and an additional $1500.
